Villa Nepenthe

Located at just 2 km from the sea, nestled on a hill, Villa Nepenthe offers a magnificent view. You wake up in the morning and with just two steps you're on a balcony looking at the ocean and the mountains. You hear crickets in the olive vineyards in the valley, as you notice a warm sea breeze. In the evening, you enjoy a breathtaking sunset from the rooftop lounge. The villa's interior complements the surroundings with a stylish Boho design, immersed in positive energy and stress-free elegance. Nepenthe is a modest, yet luxurious two-bedroom villa with lots of character. The design is inspired by the traditional Greek Cycladic style, infused with modern minimalism, Boho design and attention to comfort. There's WiFi access from almost everywhere, including outside and there's airconditioning in every room. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and access to the balcony. Downstairs, there's a living room with a closed fireplace and a 55 inch smart TV with satellite and Netflix. There's a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, a microwave and a big fridge. You can eat at the kitchen island, but the main dining areas are outside: on the downstairs terrace or on the rooftop patio. Each table will comfortably seat up to six people. The living room and kitchen have panoramic folding doors. When these are opened, the entire ground floor changes into one large indoor-outdoor space with lots of space, light and a seamless transition with the terrace. Outside, you get the feeling of a cozy self-contained resort, with a long pool and an outdoor shower, surrounded by flowers and tropical plants. Behind the house there's a stone garden with mediterranean plants. It has a seating area with an outdoor fireplace, perfect for cozy comfort in the evenings. The best place in the house is probably the patio on the roof. Surrounded by a herbal garden, there's lots of space to relax in the lounge and enjoy the breathtaking views over the valley with its olive trees, the surrounding mountains and the vast ocean. The culture in Crete revolves around open air cooking and eating. The rooftop dining area is equipped with an outdoor kitchen and a gas BBQ, perfect for a large lunch or dinner.
